Donations, Subscriptions & Payments

Your donation or subscription payments may be processed through third-party providers. We do not store full credit card details on our servers. Those providers manage payment information under their own privacy policies.

When you purchase a subscription, we may collect information like your name, email address and billing details, transaction identifiers as well as subscription status and history.

We collect subscription-related information to process payments, provide access to subscriber content manage renewals and cancellations, comply with accounting and legal obligations.

Marketing & Communications

If you subscribe to Blue Art Journal, or if you were previously a subscriber to Art Monthly Australasia, you may receive service-related emails (eg renewal notices, account updates) or Editorial communications related to your subscription

Where we send marketing communications, we aim to comply with the Spam Act 2003.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. But please note that transactional emails relating to active subscriptions cannot be opted out of while your subscription remains active.

Data Retention

We retain subscription and transaction records for as long as reasonably necessary to maintain your account, resolve disputes and meet our accounting and legal requirements.

When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or de-identify it.

Overseas Processing and Storage

Because we use digital service providers and publish globally, data may be stored or processed outside Australia. This goes for payment providers and hosting services who may operate outside Australia. We aim to use reputable providers with appropriate security standards.

Indigenous Data Sovereignty

Where information relates to Indigenous peoples or communities:

  • We recognise rights to control representation and access.
  • We will consider requests to amend, contextualise, or remove material.
  • We prioritise community-led dialogue in resolving concerns.
